The Crown is a charming beamed country pub situated in a quiet country village approximately 2 miles outside the picturesque market town of Saffron Walden and a brisk ten minute walk away from Home Farm fishing lake and camping site.

Situated as we are amidst glorious countryside there are some fantastic local walks and, with our extensive menus and drinks, you will be able to spend the days exploring the area around us, secure in the knowledge that a hearty meal awaits your return.

And of course, if you stay during the winter months, you’ll be able to spend the evening relaxing by our open log fires.

All our food is freshly prepared to order. Our main menu offers a wide range of homecooked dishes from steak and mushroom pie to lasagne or Honey Roast Ribs.

All our dishes are served with fresh seasonal vegetables & chips or salad. We also offer a selection of vegetarian dishes and a varied fresh fish. For those with a lighter appetite why not choose from our wide range Sandwiches and Baguettes.
