Saffron Walden Town Council (SWTC) has that festive feeling; its plans are well underway in readiness for Christmas celebrations to commence!
The annual ‘Light Switch On’ and lantern parade takes place on Friday 22 November – but the fun starts sooner that that with two FREE lantern making workshops.
Families are welcome to join SWTC at the workshops taking place on Saturday 09 and 16 November, 10am – 2pm in The Jubilee Hub, CB10 1EH – No booking required, just drop in.
Lanterns will then be collected at St Mary’s Church on Friday 22 November at 5.30pm, parading at 5.45pm to meet in the Market Square for the Light Switch On at 6pm. Food and entertainment will be taking place in the Market Square from 4pm and into the evening until 8pm.
