The Great Dunmow Soapbox Race will take place on Sunday 25th May 2025, bigger and better than ever! This year promises to maintain its title of the second-largest soapbox race in the United Kingdom with interest from all across the country, raising money for fantastic charities (more than £130k since the first event).

​The teams will face jumps, the slippery, blizzard ally, and will race against the clock to be crowned the winner of the Great Dunmow Soapbox Race 2025. Expect to see incredible hand-built soapboxes, spectacular crashes, and some brilliant obstacles all raising money for phenomenal local causes and charities.

Where do I buy tickets?

No tickets are required – a charity donation will be requested upon arrival (£5 per person recommended).

 Where can I park?

Our car park is located at The Causeway, Dunmow, CM6 2AA.

Programmes are available to purchase on arrival.

​When does it start?

Our doors open at 10:30am with the first race taking place at 11am. The racing will finish at around 4pm.

​Is the event dog friendly?

Yes providing that they’re on a leash, good with crowds and children and are cleaned up after.
