A time to enjoy the Gardens during early Autumn
Our seasonal apple and bees day, with fun activities for all the family. Take Note Concert Band will up the tempo!
Visitors will love:
- pressing apple juice and taking some home
- spotting the queen bee in the show hive
- jam & jelly tombola
- tasting a big range of apple and honey cakes
- learning about apple and orchard produce
There will be a range of stalls, including cider, honey, produce from the Gardens, plants and crafts & apple and bee experts to chat to.
Children will also enjoy garden games; apple and bee crafts; a fun trail; and the treehouse.
Take Note Concert Band are a lively local band, who play a wide mix of popular music.
Open between 11am and 5pm. Last entry 4pm. Tickets bought online are at the discounted price of £5.50 or at the Gift Aid price of £6.50 (Gardens get an extra 25% rebate from HMRC). Children under 16 free of charge.
It will also be possible to pay at the Gate on the day from 11.00 at £6.50 per adult ticket.

Friends and Season ticket holders just need to show their card at the Gate.
Hot bacon, cheese or houmous rolls will be available until they run out – or until 14:30; also a wide range of homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks.
Disabled parking available near Gate; and garden path suitable for wheelchairs/children’s buggies. The carer for a disabled visitor does not need to purchase a ticket. Facilities include disabled toilet and baby changing.
