Do you want to get really good with fire? Be able to light one using only the resources around you and in the wind and the rain? Our Complete Introduction will take you through a complete firelighting journey. Starting from the foundations of the fire triangle we will cover:

• Fire safety – when, where and why
• Different fire lays
• Collecting the right tinder and wood
• Different ways to generate sparks and embers
• Using embers to create tinder bundles
• Make your own charcloth (a bushcrafters tool for firelighting)
• Leave No Trace – making sure we look after our environment

There will also be a chance to try your hand at fire by friction – we’ll have a selection of bow and pump drills for you to have a go. We will also make use of our fires and create some tasty campfire snacks.
