A lazy day in the Gardens, with local children’s author, Ian Brown, reading stories and music from a local saxophone group and Woodwind of Stortford.
Visitors will find something of interest for all, with a range of garden games, a trail and crafts specifically for the children, and craft and plant stalls.
Local author Ian Brown will delight children visiting the gardens with his tales of Albert, the tortoise.
The Gardens are particularly tranquil in August with plenty of shade, Peto’s Italian Garden bright with colour and the dahlia border in the walled kitchen garden in full flower.
Hot bacon/cheese/hummus rolls, homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks.
Adult entry £5.50 if bought in advance or £6.50 on the gate.
Children under 16 FREE
Dogs on leads welcome.
Advance tickets will be refunded if the Trust has to decide the Gardens cannot open, due to a significant risk to visitors and volunteers, for example from adverse weather or very poor ground conditions.
